The Adobe Design Brand team is a focused and collaborative group that designs all of Adobe’s product branding, including logos and splash screens, crafts illustrations, and leads every facet of the brand in UX. We work directly with product managers, product designers, content strategists, engineering teams, marketing, and executives. This work is broad, fun, and highly visible. There are many opportunities for collaborations of all kinds, including side projects, pro-bono work, and more.We want you to help us build the Adobe brand!You are a strong communicator, and can articulate your concepts effectively either in a 2-minute pitch or an hour-long concept review. You are motivated and curious, aware of current trends, technologies and resources. You are passionate about using animation to simplify complex interactions. You are proficient in After Effects, but also comfortable collaborating with developers to bring your concepts to life in product. You have an eye for details and love moving a finalized concept into production. You love participating in critiques of your own work and that of your collaborators. You have in-depth knowledge of working on motion design in systems and know the best work comes out of constraints. What you'll doCraft in-product motion design principles and guidelines for Adobe’s Design System, Spectrum, for use by product teams and vendorsCollaborate with illustrators, brand, icon, and product designers to concept, storyboard and bring directions to life for in-product animations and transitional motion graphicsSupport product designers and marketing partners to improve and add areas of delight to product and web experiencesDevelop a shared library of commonly used motion graphicsCreate and output final in-product and web animationsWork with engineering to specify what transitions and micro-actions for branded moments should look like based on product framework and platform restraintsParticipate in team critiques and support the Brand Design team with improving the in-product experienceCraft communications including presentations, process documentation, articles, and more. What you need to succeed5+ years of industry experience as a motion designerStrong experience creating innovative motion graphics for brands and digital product design systems, with a portfolio that exemplifies thisThorough understanding and competency of animation concepts and output types as they apply across different surfaces.Collaborative approach to finding creative solutions working with teams globallyExcellent written and oral communication skillsExperience presenting work to executive partners or clientsExcellent organizational skills and ability to establish and communicate a clear process.Experience working with engineering and designers to implement motion designs in product.Proficient with Adobe’s creative products (Ae, Pr, Ps, Ai, etc. Experience using Figma)A degree in design is not required, but an exceptional portfolio and resume is.A love of all things design About Adobe DesignAdobe Design creates tools that amplify the world’s ability to create and communicate. The U.S. pay range for this position is $135,900 -- $252,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
