nCino offers exciting career opportunities for individuals who want to join the worldwide leader in cloud banking. This member of the accounting team will be responsible for independently reviewing all sales related activities from an accounting perspective to determine proper recording and recognition of the revenue and set up of the opportunities. This position will work heavily in both our SalesForce and NetSuite environments. Responsibilities include internal reporting of sales related metrics, placing orders with SalesForce for customer contracts, reviewing sales contracts and analyzing contracts for completeness and accuracy. This position will work closely with other departments, including Sales, Sales Support, Channels and Alliances and Legal in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing. This position requires the ability to be an independent problem-solver that can work with multiple stakeholders simultaneously. This position will also be responsible for analyzing and reporting on financial metrics related to projects. ResponsibilitiesReview new customer contracts as well as amendments, for accuracy and completeness for both the information the customer signs as well as the opportunity set up within SalesForce provide independent accounting signoffPoint of contact for SalesForce opportunity related questions for multiple stakeholders, must have exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to explain complex processes to an assortment of stakeholdersAssist the Sales team in preparing/reviewing subscription revenue forecasts as it relates to new contracts and amendments.Preparing internal sales reports to ensure timely and accurate information is reflected at all timesWork with the legal and sales teams to answer accounting and invoicing related questions that may come up during the sales cycle, independently create Invoicing schedules for customer contractsPlace customer orders with SalesForce through the Channel Order App, where attention to detail is of utmost importance to enter into agreements with the reseller.Prepare the SalesForce pre-book report on a monthly basisFile and manage tickets with SalesForce for customer related questions and billing issuesReview customer related bills that come from SalesForce for accuracy.  Follow up with corrective action, as necessaryReconcile the cost of goods sold account on a monthly basisPrepare gross margin and cost of goods sold by customer analytics on a monthly basis.Reconcile and update nCino licenses assigned to customersManage nCino’s relationship with various Resellers, including alerting applicable parties of customer activationsManage tight independent timelines for customer order placements, contract review, and additional accounting duties while ensuring high degrees of accuracyAnalyze project data to identify incorrect coding, time and expense errors, facilitate correctionsReview project-related records, including statements of work and change ordersUnderstand revenue recognition, project invoicing, journal entry preparation and general accounting rulesAnalyze and reporting of financial information for assigned projects using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standardsCompile information for auditors, as requiredQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant degree2 or more years’ professional work experience or professional internships in finance or accounting or combination of experience, education, and superior performancePossess an understanding of project accountingSolid understanding of GAAP with a focus in revenue recognitionPossess strong financial and analytical skillsWell organized to focus on multiple tasksDeadline orientedProficient with MS Office, spreadsheetsAbility to work both independently and as a team memberWillingness to work outside of standard business hours to support the Sales team as neededStrong written and verbal communication skillsDesiredCPA or CPA candidatePublic accounting experienceCorporate accounting experienceNetSuite system experienceSalesforce.com system experience If you thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment, we invite you to share your passion, ideas and excitement at nCino. nCino provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, disability, genetics or other protected groups.
