This is an opportunity to grow your finance experience within the live entertainment industry and to gain valuable insight into what is needed to promote and run live events.The Finance Assistant will assist in all areas of the Cuffe and Taylor finance department, with specific focus on the financial transactions associated to the Theatre Touring department, helping to ensure that venue settlements, sales and purchase invoices reach Live Nation’s Finance Department in a timely and satisfactory manner.Who you areSuitable candidates for this role may have existing finance experience from previous employment or may have studied finance/accounting at degree level and are looking to put their knowledge into practice.Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / ExperienceAdvanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and OutlookStrong understanding of VAT rates and when applicableAttention to detail and impeccable accuracyGood analytical and problem-solving skillsProven experience in an accounts position is highly desirable but we can consider applications from candidates who have gained their knowledge through their studies.Excellent communication skillsDesirableIndustry experience, ideally of venue show settlements.Experience of accounting software packages.BehavioursThe following attributes determine how the role will be carried out and are required to be a successSelf-motivated and able to work under pressureFlexibility to meet deadlinesAbility to multi-task and prioritiseTeam playerTrustworthyWhat the role includesReview and process venue settlements, reconciling to ticketing system and show budgets.Liaise with Event Managers/Co-Pro partners to ensure pre tour show budget and post show P&L reporting is accurate and discrepancies are diligently investigated.Process Touring related supplier invoices, and forward to Live Nation Finance Department.Deal with supplier queries.Raise sales invoices for venues, ticket agents, customers, partners etc.Run aged debt reports and chase any outstanding invoicesCheck and process event cash float returnsUndertake additional tasks as requested by the Finance ManagerEqual OpportunitiesWe are passionate and committed to our people and go beyond the rhetoric of diversity and inclusion.
