Job Requisition ID #24WD74802Position OverviewAutodesk Construction Solution (ACS) is looking for a hands-on, experienced Software Development Manager, who would provide technical leadership to a newly founded development team within the ACS Cost team in Autodesk. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team at Autodesk Bengaluru and develop world class cloud-based software products and solutions to solve interesting problems in the construction industry.As you, you have managed a development team developing modern web applications and have demonstrated hands-on experience with DevOps and Observability tools. You are comfortable in an agile environment and know how to build and guide high-performing team. You will work with our developers, product managers and designers to deliver products to help our customers imagine bigger, collaborate smarter, move faster, and create the new possible. Most of all, you can inspire a team to do great things. You will report to senior manager and its a hybrid work model.ResponsibilitiesLead the team to design critical components to benefit ACC Cost customersCreate the technical strategy with hands-on leadership in arch and implementationCreate an environment that empowers and energize team members, with focus on accountability and collaborationGuide and align technical strategy across divisions and interdependent teamsManage relationships with team members, engineers, and technical partnersBe a technical promoter across all personnel at all levelsInspire, motivate, and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity, creativity and efficiencyTranslate customer, business, and technical requirements into deliverables aligned with team member needsMinimum Qualification MS or equivalent in Computer Science8+ years software development experienceExperience developing scalable, resilient, distributed applicationsHTTP-based API designBuild, deploy, and orchestration of containerized workloadsEvent driven systems, message queuesDistributed data stores, caching, and eventual consistencyObservability at scale: monitoring, log aggregationProven hands-on experience in the industry involved in designing and developing SaaS and web applicationsCollaborative, respectful and thoughtful leader who is interested to work in a diverse and global teamExperience with Agile, XP, and ScrumExpertise in one or more of: Java, C#, Javascript/NodeJS, Ruby/JRuby, Golang, Scala, C++AWS: EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, SQSKubernetes and/or Amazon ECSMonitoring solutions (e.g.: statsd/graphite, Prometheus, DataDog, New Relic, Dynatrace, etc)Logs aggregation: SplunkExperience handing gradual system refactoring#LI-AK1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
