They are responsible for the design, roll out and ongoing support and evolution of our global partner program. Reporting into the VP of Global Partner Programs, the Director of Global Partner Programs and Enablement works cross-functionally with channel and alliances sales, channel operations, marketing, sales, product, and legal to integrate partner programs throughout our global business. This position will lead a team that fulfills the list of responsibilities for the role.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, refine and manage partner programs to support Equinix Channel and Alliances ecosystem strategyEstablish and keep fresh partner program incentives, benefits and requirementsTeam leadership for all Partner Program elementsContribute to development of Partner Program collateral, documentation and onboarding tools to enhance overall partner experience and communication to partnersDesign, build and maintain Partner Program elements including the Program Guide, Rules of Engagement, contracts library, MDF Program, Reseller, Services, Alliances, Deal Registration Program, etcDocument and communicate Partner Program Rules of Engagement, Deal Reg, How to Partner, etcRefine existing Partner Portal experience leveraging SFDC & PRM - working with marketing, Channel Ops and ITCollaborate with marketing to ensure an engaging Partner Portal experience for partners (lead registration, opportunity tracking, training, demand generation, commissions, etc)Work with channel operations/IT to implement data/reporting and system workflows to support operational governance for the programContribute to the design of partner enablement content and partner adoption of training and certificationWork cross-functionally with marketing, product, legal and finance to continue to implement and grow partner programs and ensure alignment across the businessWork closely with Marketing, Global Technical Sales resources, Customer Success & enablement on partner enablement training strategy, planning and executionWork cross functionally with sales operations, marketing, finance, enablement and technical teams to secure, operationalize and manage all the committed benefits to the partners.Manage and provide administration of partner agreements/partner contracting working in coordination with legalCommunicate partner program enhancements with Equinix employees and partnersWork with partners to solicit feedback on existing programs/processes and implement changes (Partner Advisory Councils, via marketing, channel teams, etc)Document policies and processes to support all aspects of the program and enables global execution.Monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date on competitors and market conditionsCreate and manage partner program budgetsMeasure and report on the performance of channel partners, using metrics such as sales and revenueIdentify and resolve conflicts and challenges within the channelAttend industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the companyQualifications10+ years of experience running Partner Programs/Enablement/Marketing in the IT services or network services industriesThrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentExceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills requiredStrong interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving and negotiation skillsAbility to conceptualize and sell ideas internallyExcellent time-management and multi-tasking abilitiesInnovation and the ability to gain consensus is necessaryWorks extremely well as a member of a team, but also excels as an individual contributorSharing of Equinix values, and work in accordance with those values.Ability to travel if needed and comply with the company’s travel policiesSome of the skills and qualifications required for a channel partner program director areExperience in building partner incentives and partner governanceKnowledge of technology trends including solution packaging and consumptionExecutive presence with partnersTime management and organizational skillsA desire to lead teams and facilitate team growthBachelor’s degree in business or related fieldEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
