Be leader in the Apple Watch QE team, passionate about developing a team testing Multitouch firmware and software behind the next generation Apple Watches! We focus on testing microcontroller based firmware that collaborates with the touch sensor and various other system components. You should have experience leading a FW/SW Quality team, mentoring team members and making technical decisions. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 3+ years management experience leading QE teams Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, methodologies, and standard processes Track record of testing and shipping high quality apps or frameworks Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to drive and support automation test strategy implementation Experience leading down-selection of tests and investigations based on prioritization of needs and risks Attention to detail and a strong passion for quality – experience architecting, crafting and developing scalable test environment Willingness to take ownership, set direction, especially in gray areas while leading and balancing multiple projects Proactive approach in cross-team communications Experience with Python or C Passionate about recruiting, hiring and building high-performance engineering teams. Description Description In this role you will lead a team of Quality engineers passionate about validation and verification of firmware and software that enables the Multitouch sensor. You and your team will work with other teams at Apple to build and review test plans. Your team is in charge of implementing test plans, messaging overall program quality to leadership and ensuring that the touch experience meets the Apple quality bar. Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Knowledge of CI/CD systems, tools and technologies Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Splunk) Evidence of driving technical innovation at multiple layers in the stack Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,900.00 and $237,700.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
