Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Position Summary:As a QC Lab Equipment Engineer, you will provide technical leadership in manufacturing sustaining efforts in a high volume, consumables manufacturing environment. You will define and perform preventive maintenance on optical, mechanical, electrical and fluidics systems. You will work to improve equipment uptime and reliability. You will also apply organic chemistry principles in troubleshooting manufacturing and equipment process issues. You will need to conduct training for all the Production Maintenance Technicians (PMTs) to allow them to understand more about the job scopes & responsibilities and ensure their job performance meet the expectations. You will need to provide supervision and mentor all the PMTs.Position Responsibilities:Complete required training (e.g. cGMP, safety and work instructions, etc.) within a stipulated time frameExecute tasks strictly following cGMP, Quality, Safety and Work instruction requirementsEnsure employees follow safety, quality requirement, and all applicable company policies at all timesEnsure proper housekeeping and maintain cleanliness (6S) of the working areaTimely report/ escalate any concerns (work-related or personal)Meet daily production schedule and performance expectationAble to take on additional tasks or responsibilities when requiredCompetent to perform complex PM activities with some supervisionImplement repair procedures to ensure correct operation of equipment and systems with broad supervisionIdentify and update in SAP critical spare parts to sustain operation and the safety stock levelBe a role model for PMTs and Engineer 1Improvement work:Participate and lead a process improvement team within the same area under broad directionFacilitate an organization's systems and processes relating to continuous improvement (e.g. 6S) and coach team members toward continuous improvementAnalyse work practices beyond own scope of work for innovation and improvement opportunitiesManage the work instructions of each engineering process to ensure consistent performance of the equipmentIncident investigation and reporting:Lead an investigation team under broad supervision and is able to submit a good reportProvide guidance to team membersAdapt different techniques and concepts in technical writing for effective engagement with individuals and/or teamsLead and mentor a group of team members to meet production KPI and corporate goals & targets:Provide effective leadership and supervision within shift to meet daily uptime target and shift KPIs with broad guidanceCo-ordinate & prioritize activities based on production, equipment and supply to meet the objectivesLearning and Development:Responsible for the skill development of the shiftAble to provide guidance to Production Maintenance Technician and EngineerDevelop On the job (OJT) training programmes for Production Maintenance TechnicianListed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position.
