NVIDIA's Cloud data centers host ground-breaking products across high-performance computing to machine learning applications for autonomous vehicles and healthcare. At the heart of our data centers (DCs)is the ability to engineer mechanical and electrical designs in close coupling to NVIDIA's industry-leading GPU and DGX products. We are seeking a highly- motivated and diligent individual to join the team as a Data Center Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs) Intern. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our data center operations team, gaining hands-on experience with CDU test and qualifications, and the efficiency and reliability of DCs cooling systems.What you'll be doing: Conduct detailed analysis including Flow Network Model (FNM) and contribute to the selection and design of L2A, L2L, L2R CDUs.Collaborate with cross-disciplinary and multi-functional teams to ensure detailed integration of CDUs into the overall data center infrastructure.Participate in the development of innovative cooling solutions to address the evolving needs of data centers.Participate in meetings to discuss ongoing projects and operational improvements.Chip into the creation and refinement of data center reference design for reliable cooling solutions.Stay on top of industry trends and standard processes to advise and improve design strategies.What we need to see: Pursuing a Master or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong thermal and optimization backgroundStrong understanding of thermal management principles and fluid dynamicsIn-depth knowledge of sophisticated cooling solutions, energy-efficientUnderstanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements for single and two phase CDUsWays to stand out from the crowd: Hardware, and innovative data center designsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailsStrong communication and partnership skillsEagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and conceptsNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
