About the team We are looking for an ambitious, hard-working Claims Team Lead who is driven to grow at Turo. This Lead role will primarily support our total loss team and helping us minimize costs for storage and towing, and to maximize returns on our salvage.                                                                                                                                      What you’ll do: Your main focus will be on Total Loss storage, release issues, and monitor the sale of Turo salvage.   Train and develop workflows for the total loss team and general floor to help mitigate storage issues.   Work with our vendors to develop processes and monitor progress.  Develop and generate process improvements along with different types of project work. Communicate with leaders on the progress of salvage returns and storage.  Providing oversight for the administration of reserves and salvage sales.  Work with salvage vendor on the preservation and protection of vehicles Assist in training with associates on vehicle moves and negotiations of storage costs.  Be a subject-matter expert with our Biz Ops team on Origami and system support for total loss Your profile: 2+ year claims expertise and strong knowledge of total loss handling.  Strong written and verbal communication skills Flexible, Adaptable, while displaying learning agility Positive and hard-working Exceptional negotiation skills Able to coach and influence others.  Outstanding conflict resolution and de-escalation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask   Excellent follow-through and attention to detail Commitment to high responsiveness and availability Comfortable providing coaching and feedback Embraces Turo’s values Bonus if you have: 1+ year Turo claims expertise The Phoenix base salary target range for this full-time position is $52,000-$58,500 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
