Summary Posted: Jan 30, 2024 Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number: 200536810 This is an Asia Pacific regional role based in Singapore with responsibilities for the management and execution of bulk and parcel freight (Air/Ocean/Road) to our warehouses, indirect sales, and retail business segments.
This person will oversee the day-to-day operations, and manage our carriers and freight forwarders in order to drive performance and operational capabilities. This person also is a key contributor in cross functional projects to support new Geo and Retail expansions. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 8-10 years experience in the logistics industry across bulk and parcel freight. Bachelor degree or equivalent experience with related major. Strong functional knowledge on domestic air/road/train freight and parcel market, e-commerce fulfillment/delivery mode, good practices, industry benchmarking. Proven knowledge in customs import/export processes, as well as other local import requirements. Strong vendor management skills and working experience with major 3PLs in APAC Experience with a B2B or B2C leading company is preferred, experience with or in a Technology based vertical would be beneficial. Strong communication skills in English. Fluency in another southeast Asian language would be beneficial. Description Description - Drive 3PLs for operations excellence around on-time execution, losses and damage, track & trace, freight payment metrics.
- Collaborate with 3PLs for pivotal initiatives around capacity management, volume fluctuations, cost savings, process/system improvements and sustainability focus.
- Apply freight forwarder resources to ensure operations execution, shipment status reporting and exceptions management, and timely resolution of shipment issues
- Support of new product launch processes including finished goods and service level components
- Continuous developments in e-commerce & retail fulfilment optimisation, and embrace the cost effective solution with high CSAT.
- Periodic review of 3PL infrastructure and partners to ensure support for scale and growth
- Ensure redundancy in supply chain network for critical lanes and segments
- Manage vendor closely to ensure they have a proper team structure in place aligned per our need and have clear goals aligned with yearly plans
- Drive Green initiatives to reduce carbon footprint by optimising operations and identifying alternative shipping methods
