Associate Manager / Manager, Electrical EngineeringStatus: Exempt (Salaried)Department: High Power StationaryPosition Summary: As the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing electrical engineering activities within our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of electrical projects, managing a team of engineers, and contributing to the overall success of our engineering department. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership:Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completionDevelop project plans, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality resultsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into larger projectsTeam Management:Build, lead and mentor a team of electrical engineersProvide guidance on technical matters, ensuring the team’s professional developmentFoster a collaborative and innovative work environmentTechnical Expertise: Oversee the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components relative to AC generation, Fuel Cells, Battery Energy Storage and connectivity to the gridDC to AC, DC to DC and grid interconnectivity understanding requiredEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsTroubleshoot and resolve complex electrical engineering issuesOutlines diagnostic parameters to programmatically determine root cause via failure mode analysis. Develops testing protocols and solve complex technical and business matters as neededOversees technical improvements to test and verification area, follow changes to completion over system life expectancyCollaboration:Work closely with other engineering managers and departments to achieve overall company goalsFoster collaboration between electrical engineering and other functional areasCoordinate with New Product Introduction and Engineering teams to improve system tests and improve throughputEnsure testing procedures comply with required industry standardsContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practicesStay current on industry trends and emerging technologiesEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree STEM field require - Electrical Engineering and Master’s degree preferred with 5+ years of engineering experience. Level will be determined based on experienceExperience with AC electrical systems (Microgrids, Grid connectivity, Inverters)Understanding of IEC and NFPA codes related to protection and safetyProven experience in electrical engineering with focus on project managementStrong leadership skills with experience managing and developing engineering teamsIn-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and relevant software toolsExperience with project management methodologies and toolsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesEffective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersFamiliarity with industry standards and regulationsExempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
