Your potential is waiting; why are you?Summary:The Corporate Development team advances Genesys' strategy through inorganic initiatives. The team has completed 20 acquisitions and 4 investments since becoming an independent company in 2012. The Corporate Development Associate will conduct structured quantitative and qualitative assessments to support critical decisions, contribute to the sourcing/evaluation of acquisition candidates, and help project manage aspects of due diligence. The role will focus on buy-side M&A (from M&A strategy to deal execution), though will contribute to other Corporate Development projects including integration success, minority investments, sell-side projects, and other special projects.This position will be a hybrid role based out of our Menlo Park office.Key Responsibilities:Strategy: Collect competitive intelligence and map market/industry segmentsSourcing: Scout for appropriate candidates given a general investment thesisEvaluation: Conduct structured quantitative and qualitative assessments of targets; support business case developmentDeal Execution: Help project managements aspects of diligence process; assist in analytics and documenting findings for Executive ManagementIntegration: Support integration team with knowledge transfer and other special projectsQualifications / Skills Desired and Preferred:1-3 years relevant experience at an investment bank, private equity, strategy consulting, or transaction services firmM&A deal experienceAdvanced Excel & financial modeling skillsAdvanced PowerPoint & presentation building skillsUnderstanding of accounting concepts related to P&L, balance sheet, and cash flowExperience in the enterprise software industry, with direct exposure to the “customer experience” market a plusSuperior attention to detail and qualityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity and minimal supervision. Proactive self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately to meet tight deadlinesStrong oral and written communication skills, including ability to confidently interact and advise at senior executive levels#LI-DJ1#LI-HybridCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
