It’s about impact, not location.”Sonos partners with over 120 content streaming providers and over 40 home automation partners. These partners, along with our 3rd party voice partners, integrate with the Sonos Sound Platform allowing Sonos to deliver the best smart speaker experience in the world.   The Product Platform and Partnership team needs a Solutions Architect who will be responsible for making our partners successful as they build solutions on the Sonos Sound Platform with the goal of delighting our joint customers. A successful candidate will be proactive, well organized, and enjoy solving hard problems with the required skills to drive technical discussions.  You need to be able to build out a partner engagement plan for longer term projects, work with a large number of partners, be well organized, be able to track and report your work, and can context switch regularly with ease. As a Solutions Architect you are a problem solver, and dig into how things work technically.  You are able to get your hands dirty with the APIs you are helping your partners with.  You know these APIs inside and out by coding against and testing them yourself.  This allows you to create reference architectures for your partners to use to be successful in their integrations. What You’ll DoOwn the communication and the overall health of the relationship with a long list of partners, advising and counseling them on technical architecture and integration with Sonos. Help move our partners through onboarding, development, certification and deployment.  Assist the product team to prioritize features and APIs that will help Sonos and our partners be successful. Define partner engagement plans from your comprehensive understanding of the Sonos product roadmap and your insights into our partner’s direction, capabilities, and availability. Solve hard technical, business, and design problems and find common ground with partners to ensure trade-offs are well understood and communicated so that short term tactics don’t become obstacles to the larger partnership mission and goals.Manage 1st and 3rd party certification integrations. Work effectively across team, discipline and geographic boundaries to help ensure a culture of transparency, inclusion, diversity of opinion and perspective and product experiences that reflect those strengths.What You’ll NeedResearch shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. If you don’t have 100% of the skills listed, we strongly encourage you to apply if interested.Basic QualificationsStrong communicator and collaborator who can sell a vision, and inspire effectively based on user research, business logic, and data. Ability to build out a partner engagement project plan for a feature area and drive internal and external alignment and dependencies to execute on the plan.   Technical background with a proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies.Strong program management skills with the ability to track and report project tasks and  the ability to independently prioritize your workload and improve our processes. Decisive and action oriented, you learn quickly, work independently, and take ownership of open issues.Collaborative spirit and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in technical roles5 years of experience in a Solutions Architect role or Technical Partner facing role.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a technical field with a focus on software development and modernization efforts.Experience partnering with external stakeholders and providing technical solutions.#LI-RemoteAt Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead  individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience.  All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity.  Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions.
