Buyer Planner

As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.The Buyer Planner works closely with engineering, sourcing and our logistics partners to plan, coordinate and purchase raw materials from both contract manufacturers and suppliers. The Buyer Planner leads the reverse logistics procurement strategy, manages end to end component costs, and enables clear to build processes to support our b-stock goals globally. Key Responsibilities:Work closely with reverse logistics engineering & manufacturing engineering to identify minimum subassembly levels required to support in-region refurbishment and repairBuy and source raw materials both domestically and internationally, partnering with internal teams to drive procurement strategy reducing total cost of ownership for b-stock componentsMaintain inventory levels at agreed safety stock levels to ensure clear to build is maintainedReview inventory levels, return forecasts in conjunctions with production plans to maintain adequate inventory levels and avoid overagesCreates new B-Stock BOMs to support refurbishment and repairLeads last time buys for reverse logistics to ensure continuity of component supply through b-stock lifecycleEstablish post EOL sourcing solutions directly with suppliersBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and meet regularly with key suppliersPartner with GSMs, MPMs and Product Ops to improve b-stock component procurement processesManage logistics of b-stock component globally, ensuring logistics costs are optimized for and we maximize full containers and distribute components efficientlyWhat You’ll NeedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeKnowledge of manufacturing & assembly processesThorough experience with Excel and ability to analyze large amounts of data quicklyExperience with ERP procurement such as Oracle, SAPStrong communication, presentation and program management skillsGood communication skills in English both written and oralGood teamwork, interpersonal skills and the ability to work flexible hoursPreferred:Bachelor's degree in supply chain, economics, financeExcellent analytical, excel, program management, presentation and negotiation skillsA passion for process improvement and cost savingsExperience with SAP S4 HanaExperience with ArenaProven track record of collaboration with both technical and non-technical teamsFamiliarity and experience of returns management, technical reverse logistics operations (screening, refurb/repair)Your profile will be reviewed and you'll hear from us once we have an update.
