Get involved and experience Workday!About the RoleWorkday is looking for an outstanding Associate Manager, Test Automation to join the Talent Test Automation leadership team.Responsibilities and objectives of the role are:Define and implement the strategic vision for Test Automation using our best of breed proprietary Automation tools.Lead, and mentor a diverse, globally distributed team of Test Automation Engineers specializing in the creation, curation, and maintenance of automated tests for the Workday Talent Product.Implementation of our automation standards policies and processes in line with Workday's product development methodology and standards.Apply your understanding of test automation and software engineering standard methodologies to impact design and implementation approaches.Define uniform quality expectations by allocating and prioritizing Automation resources in an Agile environment.Be highly engaged with multi-functional teams by building relationships, collaborating with, and influencing Development, Product Management, QA, Build Pipeline & DevOps teams.Ensure our Build pipeline is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.Establish a culture that continuously strives towards standard processes, measurable outcomes, and operational excellenceWorking towards achieving the established Success Metrics.Champion Workday values and diversity through our VIBE strategy - Value Inclusion, Belonging and Equity.About YouBasic Qualifications:5+ years’ experience with test automation of SaaS and/or cloud-based Enterprise applications like WorkdayStrong technical background required. Must have prior programming experience and solid understanding of how to embed test automation in CI/CD pipelines. Must also have experience in all types of testing, including unit, integration, system, functional, non-functional and performance testing.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent work experience required.Other Qualifications:Candidates must possess an intense passion for automation and an “automation first” strategy.Experience with one or more of the following scripting frameworks is preferred: JUnit, Bamboo, TeamCity, Selenium, Cypress and WATS (Workday proprietary).Strong background in designing and architecting automation solutions that enable a shared accountability in qualityExpertise with continuous integration systems that incorporate fast feedback mechanisms and quality metricsPeople management skills with experience in hiring, coaching, and growing talent within your team(s).Must be an excellent communicator and represent the “voice of Quality”.Candidate should be comfortable holding all teams account for quality and articulating opportunities and/or concerns to upper management and collaborators across multiple Product Areas.Able to deep dive into technical areas when needed but also up level communications to broader audience.Must be proficient with Atlassian tools like JIRA & Confluence.Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
