Engineering ManagerDescription -Leads the development of new Software Solutions and Services using Cloud Software development techniques. The Software Cloud Engineering team leads the design, build, and management of Cloud Systems and Infrastructure including Software, Services, and Solutions designed for flexibility, scalability, and resiliency to support current and future business needs in an automated, repeatable way.Responsibilities:Leads the builds of various opinionated cloud environments and platforms while aligning them with business and security strategies and requirements.Builds standards, designs, and automates the deployment of software in cloud environments.Strategically partners with stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution.Leads portions of the planning and execution of multiple complex projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of the organization's software products.Partners with cross-functional software development teams to help them prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs.Contributes to technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around cloud platforms; execute strategic engineering proof of concepts around cloud platforms.Knowledge & Skills:Advanced knowledge with respect to distributed/cloud computing and knowledge in virtualization technologies, cloud solutions, systems architecture, and design, and driver development.Expert skills in people and team management, ability to devise operational processes and guide execution while properly allocating the team's resources.Expert team skills and ability to cross functionally drive/influence work through others, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.Strong leadership and innovation skills.Strong experience in executing business planning and organizational priorities.Scope & Impact:Acts as leaders within the cloud engineering practiceDirectly influences the nature of the work deliveredTakes responsibility for overall delivery quality with results impacting departmental effectiveness for multiple quartersDecisions impact others in the immediate team and influences methods and techniquesImpacts efficiencies and delivery times across all software teams, takes responsibility for the quality of deliveriesComplexity:High: Extensive cross-functional/cross-organizational senior management interface; deals with complex strategic issues.Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques.
