If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Customer Portfolio Manager Job Overview This position is responsible for maintaining and growing the run rate of Symantec's renewal and new business and ensuring a satisfied customer base to build a sustainable book of business for future success in your assigned territory. Key Responsibilities Own and coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle in renewal transactions for the region. There may be defined accounts in your territory in which Account Directors or other CPMs manage and coordinate all activity. In these cases, the Portfolio Manager owns and co-ordinates sales cycles under the guidance of the AD or other CPM. Work with account teams as needed to increase run rate in renewal and growth transactions. Maintain accurate forecasts. Provide regular pipeline forecasts and business health checks to local sales management and senior Customer Portfolio Management team members as required. Attain quota and meet Broadcom's stated financial objectives for your region. Maintain and expand your sales, product, territory, industry, market and competitive knowledge and skills. Obtain necessary approvals before making commitments to customers and act in the best interests of both Symantec and the customer at all times. Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction within the accounts in your territory Typical Role Definition Professional Staff. Complete understanding and wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Strong competence with the various tools and procedures used to accomplish the job. Usually works with minimal supervision, conferring with a supervisor on unusual matters. May be assisted by (and at times direct) less experienced employees. Requires daily decision making capabilities and actions that may not be reviewed by superiors. Assignments are broad in nature and need ingenuity and originality to solve. Contributes to moderately and significantly complex aspects of a project. May assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. May play a role in high-level projects that have an impact on the company’s future direction. Job-Specific Authority and Scope Generally works without consulting their manager. Independent decisions are made daily. Examples of typical decisions without manager consultation: Decision on appropriate sales/support team and efforts required to prepare for negotiation Development of data and strategy to maximize total value of Renewal and Growth transaction for Symantec. Decision on appropriate sales and support team members to successfully complete transaction within required time frame. Typically has no direct reports or staff. Typically has a geographic focus of Area (multi-country or multi-state). This position is for the EMEA. Typically does not manage a budget. Will assist the manager in deal approvals and review Business Travel and Physical Demands Business travel of <10% percent yearly is expected for this position. Physical demands:No special physical demands required. Preferred EducationBachelor's degree or global equivalent experience in an IT, business or sales related fieldWork Experience Typically requires 5 or more years of Sales experience, including 2 - 4 years Customer Portfolio Management experience. Skills & Competencies Ability to understand and present Symantec’s vision, strategy and organization. Excellent knowledge of Symantec's sales methodology, pricing, licensing and booking process. Proven ability to prove, understand and communicate the business value and/or ROI of existing and proposed contracts and products to the customer. Excellent selling, positioning and negotiation skills. Effective communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with other Portfolio Managers in the team and to assemble, direct and motivate virtual account team-members. Understanding both business and people, including their drivers and success factors. Ability to build the historical data, create and execute a collaborative strategy for each account/renewal. Time Management, including managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent transactions.
