The role is primarily responsible for installation and maintenance for Broadcom Mainframe Software and associated customer home-grown systems. This role delivers full time to a government agency. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering in a remote environment as a client-facing technician as a service provider to government agency partners. Off hours support in support of new product maintenance application is required to support changes made in the environment.Work Experience:● 5+ years’ experience as a z/OS Systems Programmer installing and maintaining software● Experience performing software installations using SMP/e and industry knowledge using z/OSMF for product installations● Knowledge using Broadcom Mainframe Software is preferable such as CA Common Services, CA Gen, CA Endevor, CA Librarian, CA Datacom or equivalent. Ability to manage multiple Sysplexes with up to 60+ LPAR’s using these and other related products● Experience supporting Broadcom Software in support of Disaster Recovery tests● Experience working for the government. Actively pursuing soon to be completed DOD 8570 or 8140 computing environment certification such as CompTIA A+ is required. CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus● Active security clearance level of Secret is required● Ability to document test plans and package software changes with back-out plans and coordinate change control using Service Now or other related systems supported software lifecycle. Understanding of ITIL change process and working with government ITSM CAB organizations who approve change● Ensure installed software products are compliant with the current mainframe OS. Ensure new release and version analysis is performed in lower environments prior to being deployed to production● Excellent verbal and written communication skills● Strong organizational skills; works well under pressure and with minimal supervision● Ability to determine root cause analysis, interpret traces, open cases related to vendor software issues, respond to questions, issues, and concerns along with managing shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.● Ability to effectively drive execution and own responsibility for overall success of product installations and support off hours as needed● Provide support and train, counsel and mentor government employees, junior technicians, and engineers within the teams● Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills● Technical proficiency and customer-facing skills● Generally works without consulting their manager● Ability to make decisions independently and respond to client management questions related to● Position is 100% remote / home office based.Experience: Bachelor’s and 8+ years of related experience requiredCertification: CompTIA A+ or equivalent within the last 3 yearsGovernment Clearance: Security clearance of Secret within the last 5 yearsAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $91,200 - $152,000 This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
