This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. Calix is looking for a Business Insights Services (BIS) Intern to join our team for the summer months. This is an exciting opportunity for any aspiring Business Analytics student to come into a high growth, fast paced environment and get real hands-on experience. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days. Do you excel in telling data stories and creating compelling data visuals designed for decision makers? The role of the BIS Intern will be to support the BIS team as we partner directly with Calix customers to leverage their business data to address specific questions or solve unique business challenges. The BIS Intern(s) will work on projects to improve and optimize the way we do business through aggregation and automation. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning. This opportunity will provide education into Calix and how Business Insights Consultations are executed. This role will provide exposure to Data Analytics and Customer Success teams.Responsibilities and Duties:Support the Business Insights Services team in delivering data-driven consultations for Broadband Service Providers.Conduct research and share learnings across the team.Assist Data Analyst team with basic data preparation and clean-up as needed.Assist with the preparation of internal and external communication decks, Business Insights marketing materials, process documentation, Knowledge-Based articles and Virtual Enablement Webinar content.Demonstrate natural curiosity, passion for data analytics and willingness to learn, with ability to understand beyond basic review how key data points fit into a larger strategic picture.Qualifications:Junior/Senior in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field of study.Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to establish meaningful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.Prior experience in conducting market research and delivering presentations to summarize findings.Well organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)A strategic thinker with strong analytic skills and natural curiosity.Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with external groups.Flexibility/adaptability with a can-do attitude.Appreciation for a culture of not taking ourselves too seriously, while taking our work very seriously.Ability to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education (i.e. year in school).There are different ranges applied to specific locations.
