Payment Services Senior Analyst

eBay Payments LLC, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of eBay, Inc., seeks Payment Services Senior Analyst in San Francisco, CAJob Duties: Research and assess market-leading global payment solutions and trends to inform strategy for system optimization and solution development. Evaluate Vendor Partner performance through survey collection of Vendor Partner Scorecard data. Analyze key historical payment metrics and create predictive models to improve the customer experience and payments performance. Analyze demand, price, cost, and risk sensitivities via statistical and predictive modeling techniques to stress-test the business model of new financial services offerings. Utilize analytical results to design models to forecast allocation and prioritization of financial services projects and resources, to mitigate risks, accelerate revenue growth and deliver cost of payment savings. Define and drive systems required to enable global payments success related to seller disbursements. Engage in UAT testing and define performance metrics that define success. Identify gaps in processes, policies, and create requirements to improve payment systems and experience. Collaborate with product managers and engineering to build out critical improvements to payment platforms. Build in-depth regional and product expertise and build business cases backed with financial modelling and statistical analysis. Triage system incidents, work with engineers and appropriate departments and partners to resolve. Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed from a commutable distance.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Economics, or a closely related field such as Technological Entrepreneurship or plus three years of experience in the job offered as a Payment Services Analyst, or a related occupation.Special Skill Requirements: 1.    Statistics for Economists2.    Data analysis (financial, statistical, qualitative)3.    Financial modelling and forecasting4.    Business case development (opportunity sizing, market analysis, functional requirements)5.    Payments product strategy and design6.    Programming: Java, PHP, JavaScript (Node.js), Python, and UNIX shell scripting. Applied skills in RESTful services.7.    Databases: Oracle 12c, MySQL, BigQuery, and MongoDB. Authoring schemas, procedures, and queries.8.    Data science and machine learning: Microsoft certified Data Scientist. Microsoft certified AI Engineer. Base salary:  151,736 – 162,500 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
