eBay, Inc. seeks Product Manager 3 – Technical in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Define and execute the technical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) roadmap, with particular focus on metadata and internal link hygiene, driving improvements in SERP (search engine results page) and social CTR (click through rate) via metadata and structured markup. Define, design, and drive the implementation of SEO international expansion into new eBay markets, including launching of localized landing pages, creation of subdomains and ensuring hreflang tags are correctly implemented. Help build performant, efficient, scalable, configurable, and available software systems. Identify, investigate, and fix performance, scalability, and other software live issues in a very time critical environment. Test and troubleshoot high throughput back-end software systems. Identify and make recommendations to reduce software architecture development project risks. Participate in code review sessions. Work with engineers, managers, product management, quality analysts, and operations teams to develop innovative technical solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, availability, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to software development goals and principles. Build data-driven SEO solutions, including optimal linking of pages, enhanced navigational flow and improved software information architecture. Lead a scrum team of developers to deliver SEO solutions through the use of agile software development methodologies.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.Special Skill Requirements: 1.    Requirements gathering and management using tools, including Rally and Atlassian Jira2.    Product roadmap definition3.    Search Engine Optimization methodologies and tools, including sitemaps, robots.txt, metadata optimizations, structured markup, URL standards, link hygiene4.    API testing5.    Functional testing6.    User acceptance testing7.    Internationalization strategies such as machine translation (query translation, listing translation), currency conversion, cross-border listings exposure.8.    SQL9.    Agile methodologyBase salary:  $168,000 – 234,850 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
