As this initiative expands, we are looking for an experienced team leader who will play a pivotal role in driving scale and success. This role will lead a team of operations resources who will drive, own and support live streaming operations in a fast-evolving operations environment.Visit https://www.ebay.com/ebaylive/ for sampling past events and to see what’s coming up next!ResponsibilitiesDrives execution of all Live operationsActs as first point of escalationBuilds learning agendas and develop readouts to drive test-and learn strategyOwn and manage livestream operations:This is a player-coach role. You will lead a team of operations resources (as well as co-own as an individual contributor) to support ebay/ seller live streams- from event planning and setup, to event execution support and post-event findings.Liaise with cross-functional teams and provide thought leadership and implementation support for new operations processes, as this initiative scales from beta stage to full release.Drive event programming strategy (cadence, event formats and operational goals).Develop goals for the initiative with cross-functional teams and support functions, incorporating findings from each stage.Manage operational reporting of livestream events, and business planning.Operations playbook:Lead creation & implementation of operations processes to support livestream commerce on eBay.Work with cross functional partners to identify new opportunities, use cases and policy changes and implement solutions to support them.Identify and execute workflow automation to support scaling and desired user experience.Key contributor to eBay Live product roadmap and operations program:Work with Product and Engineering teams to scope, develop and launch key features/ new tools (e.g. platform tools such as seller merchandising tools, inventory sourcing tools, drops etc.)Create and host webinars to teach best practices to sellers that will drive adoption of eBay Live..Develop seller incentive funding model and create a scalable process that will allow brands to fund live commerce activations on eBayWork with eBay Legal, Policy, Risk, Trust & Safety teams in their efforts to ensure all processes and programs mitigate business risk while achieving key business goalsExternal communications to buyers and sellers:Drive identification of communications needs to buyers and sellers for new use cases, inventory or event types and new user experience features.Co-own development of content for updates to business policies and FAQs for buyers and sellers.Guide and support the test-and-learn strategyWork with cross-functional teams to assess and plan a learning agenda for upcoming events.Own the post-event finding's collection (qualitative and quantitative) and publish the findings and a recommended action plan.Support livestream event production:Manage the operations team for supporting ebay/ seller livestream events.This role may be required to support certain livestream events in-person (requires travel) with event creation on eBay platform, active content moderation and other event admin tasks during such events (at seller studios, ebay studios or at conference venues)Drive trust and operations safety on live streamsProvide thought leadership and operations support to develop, test and implement policies and processes that help protect buyers and sellers.Ensure that the operations team is investigating reports of abuse, fraud and any inappropriate behavior on live streams,Skills RequiredStrong experience in tech operations, preferably at a commerce marketplace or in social commerce.Live streaming operations experience is a big plus. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
