eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Build scalable and highly available systems for the millions of users that depend on eBay to conduct their businesses.  Analyze eBay product architecture to design and implement optimized services to push our technology forward concerning functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications throughout all phases of the software development life cycle. Work on new and existing product initiatives and be a driver in the definition of product direction. Partner effectively with product management and quality engineering, to develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code within a short development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment. Develop technical & domain expertise and apply it to solving product challenges. Create innovative product solutions to meet business objectives. Estimate engineering effort, plan implementations, and roll out applications with cross-functional impact. Implement working prototypes for testing new ideas. Contribute to design and code reviews for producing quality code.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a software engineer, or a related occupation. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
