eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 2, Software Engineer in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Serve end-to-end technical lead for high-impact software product initiatives. Develop best-in-class test automation code for software, and carry out functional and non­functional testing including web accessibility, product app security, server-side load and performance, and client-side page speed. Architect, design, and implement innovative, secure, resilient, and performant systems and solutions to address complex business and technology problems. Define technical direction for the team and new tech adoption and innovation. Partner with cross-functional teams to build and deliver product solutions. Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment. Provide internal and external training and education which includes participation in external forums as speakers. Mentor junior peers on best practices for technical design, delivery, testing, and integration of new products and features. Telecommuting permitted – work can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.Special Skill Requirements: 1.    Programming languages: Java/J2EE, Kotlin2.    Frameworks - Spring, Micronaut etc.3.    Relational Databases Technologies - Postgres, Oracle4.    NoSQL Database Technologies - Cassandra, MongoDB5.    Event Streaming Platform – Kafka6.    Design - REST API, Event driven Distributed Systems7.    Testing Frameworks - Junit, Spock,8.    Load Testing tools - Gatling, Jmeter9.    Container based technologies - Docker, Kubernetes10.    Caching technologies - Redis, RocksDB etc.Base salary:  184,662-234,850 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
