Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Responsibilities: Madison EHS Site Lead with responsibilities for Baltimore ISC, Commercial Operations, and regional initiativesActive participant on Madison Leadership Team, Emergency Management Team, and AMR EHS Leadership TeamResponsible for EHSMS initiatives for 45001/14001Responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of environmental, health and safety prevention and compliance programsLead and document risk assessments, incident investigations and other occupational safety programsResponsible for compliance and efficient operation of the hazardous waste programManage the environmental programs such as wastewater, effluent discharge, storm water and air emission requirementsAct as the EH&S expert for facilities changes, moves and enhancements in conformance with local building/fire codesServe as the representative to ensure corporate and insurance programs are implemented at the siteCollect and manage EH&S sustainability and key performance metricsLiaison between location and local regulatory agenciesConduct training in areas such as chemical/lab safety, ergonomics, emergency response and life safetyOther responsibilities may include regulatory interpretation, planning, auditing, and information systems evaluation and implementation Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.Requirements:Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech or chemical company preferredEnvironmental compliance experienceExperience with site regulatory requirementsKnowledge of scientific principles and conceptsExperience in various lab safety programs including liquid chemistryDemonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thoughtExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge and skills typically acquired through previous positions in fast-paced corporate environments which involved responsibility for similar work All listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilitiesThe estimated base salary range for the Staff Specialist, EHS Site Lead role based in the United States of America is: $98,000 - $147,000. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
