Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.This role will be responsible for technical and process support to the manufacturing team in order to effectively achieve production plans while maintaining quality and compliance to Illumina Quality Systems.Responsibilities: Perform all duties of a Manufacturing Specialist 4May develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.May write Excel macros, expert in Tableau, familiar with Atlassian web-based services; document and analyze process test and business resultsMay select and lead large scale projects to improve departmental practices and increase efficiency; demonstrate ability to prioritize needs and direct effective meetingsMay lead Tier 1 and 2 NPI Transfer programs into reagent manufacturingMay show and communicate projected and actual benefits of cross site/functional major projects by determining resources needed, managing cross functional team and determining/tracking milestonesMay perform full line validations & drive improvements through cycle time reductions and resource optimizationMay show and communicate projected and actual benefits of cross site/functional major projects by determining resources needed, managing cross functional team and determining/tracking milestonesExpert in all Lab related activity and able to troubleshootListed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.Requirements: Demonstrated ability to Lead team for departmental changing projectsFamiliarity with standard laboratory practicesExperience with SOPs, Camstar, and GMP is requiredDemonstrated basic chemistry, math and analytical skills requiredKnowledge of molecular biology techniques; SNP genotyping is a plusExperience with SAP or equivalent ERP system is requiredStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills requiredKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Tableau, and Outlook requiredMust be very detail orientedExperience with lean manufacturing tools and principles a plusFamiliarity with Six Sigma statistical analysis a plusExperience with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820All listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.Experience/Education:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experienceRelated Master’s degree – 6+ years of experience.The estimated base hourly range for the MFG Specialist 5 role based in the United States of America is: $37.21 - $55.76. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
