SummaryThe Accountant - Accounts Receivable provides technical accounting expertise to the Accounting and Finance team by fulfilling accounting related tasks. Key job responsibilities include working with customer invoices, contracts, credit memos, account reconciliations, and compiles information as necessary for outside auditors and tax service providers. The Accountant - Accounts Receivable also assists with assigned special projects.What You’ll DoContract Review and Interpretation: Interprets contracts and invoices with available knowledge and implements credit memos within scope of authorityCompares customer invoice entries to contracts and sales orders and makes corrections as neededReviews and interprets sales contracts to confirm agreement detailsCommunicates with the Sales team on all new contracts and customers to ensure invoice matches intent behind the orderEnsures proper recognition of revenue is captured on organization's financial statementsTechnical Accounting Expertise: Provides accounting expertise in assigned area of accounts receivableHandles queue of customer and sales team inquiries and forwards to appropriate team member for response; researches and responds to more complex questions; escalate to higher levels as neededCompletes assigned account reconciliations at month-end and forwards to controller for reviewDemonstrates and applies strong accounting knowledge, acumen, and technical expertiseHandles outside auditor questions and provides support to outside auditors, tax service providers, and other project personnel as requestedWhat You'll NeedMinimum Qualifications2 years prior operating accounting experience with a Bachelor’s degree in accountingAssociate degree in accounting with 5-7 years of significant progressive operating experience in accounting would be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degreePreferred QualificationsCPA certificationAnalytical ability to interpret contracts and policiesProficient accounting software knowledge, along with generic computer skills requiredSpreadsheet skills preferredStrong communication (written, verbal, and listening) and collaborative skills to work with many personalities inside and outside of the companyTravel RequirementLess than 10% travelWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.How You’ll Be Rewarded:Salary range in the US: $61,000.00 - $104,000.00A discretionary bonus typically paid annuallyRestricted Stock Units granted at time of hire401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
