As a Strategic Deals Manager, you would lead business engagements between Apple’s engineering/product organizations and external vendors to help structure next-generation technologies and services. In this role you would be responsible for cross-functional coordination, creative problem solving, developing deals structures and leading engagement, strategy and negotiations with Apple’s partners. The position requires a keen understanding of complex commercial contracts, intellectual property and operations. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience Ability to manage ambiguity by applying structure and principles and systematically using/presenting data Knowledge of complex commercial contracts Experience negotiating complex vendor agreements Experience in operations and supply chain Knowledge of licensing and intellectual property a plus Strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Description Description - Lead research and commercial strategy development with internal teams. - Clearly and concisely present key findings and proposals to senior leaders. - Develop, negotiate and execute strategic deals for technology development and licensing engagements and partnerships with third parties. - Have a deep understanding of deal terms and creatively solve for complex situations to achieve objectives while mitigating risk. - Regularly interface and negotiate with third party management teams. - Collaborate across Apple organizations including engineering, legal, marketing, and others to ensure technical and business objectives are met. Education & Experience Education & Experience BA/BS degree MBA, JD preferred with Engineering/Sciences experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Willingness to travel internationally (20% - 30% of time) Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $220,900 and $332,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
