The Concurrent Editing team in Autodesk is responsible for building, maintaining, and helping customers adopt remote collaborative workflows.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop best practices and making architectural choices to help adopt and scale this collaboration platform. You will work with software engineers. As part of the team, you will grow. You will make critical choices,, and improve the platform's reliability, resiliency, and scalability.We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working in a team, who can own and deliver long-term projects to completion. You are detail and excited about the prospects of having a big impact within Autodesk. You will report to manager and its a hybrid work mode.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the team's vision and articulate strategies to have a fundamental impact on our massive scaleYou will need a product-focused mindset. You need to understand our requirements and architect systems to grow and extend to accommodate those needsDiagnose and in distributed systems, develop and document technical solutions, and sequence work to make fast, iterative deliveries and improvementsBuild and maintain high-performance, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems that can handle our massive scaleIdeate and drive innovative projects that will improve user experienceProvide solid leadership within your very own problem space, through a data-driven approach, robust software designs, delegationParticipate in, or spearhead design reviews with peers and team members to adopt what's best suited amongst available technologiesReview code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)Automate cloud infrastructure, services, and observabilityDevelop CI/CD pipelines and testing automationEstablish and uphold best engineering practices through code and design reviews and improved toolsGroom junior engineers through mentoring and delegationCreate a culture of trust, respect, and inclusion within your teamMinimum Qualifications5 to 8 years of relevant industry experience in large back-end distributed systems and cloud computingOverall programming skills, able to write modular, maintainable code in Javascript and C++Experience building code-driven infrastructure on public cloud platforms AWSUnderstanding of NoSQL databasesExperience with automation frameworks/tools like Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and TerraformFamiliarity with containers and infrastructure-as-code fundamentalsProficiency with Amazon Web ServicesWith excellent written; ability to make sound, complex recommendationsHumble, collaborative, team player and support your colleaguesCommit to growing deeper in the knowledge of how to improve our existing applicationsEnthusiasm for modern technologies, complex problems, and building thingsFamiliar with non-functional testing such as load, performance, and resiliency testingGood command of English (Speaking, Writing and Reading)Work in an Agile environment using test-driven methodologiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experienceExperience in collaborative algorithms like Operational transformation and CRDTExperience with cloud-native applicationsExperience with Docker and Kubernetes/ECS environmentsExperience with configuration management tools and cloud automation (e.g. TerraForm, Chef, Ansible, etc.)Experience defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Circle CI/Spinnaker, etc.)Experience building apps on AWS using services such as Step functions, DynamoDB, IAM, EC2, CloudWatch and Lambda#LI-AK1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
