For more information about the company and its global portfolio of online brands, visit www.ebayinc.com.About the Role:We’re looking for a "Rock-Star" Payment Compliance Manager to lead the compliance for our Payments product globally! You will work closely with Product, Risk, Legal and Operations teams to ensure we are aligning with card scheme and payment network rules and requirements while keeping up to date with any changes and adhering to standard processes in the Payments world.Responsibilities:Understanding payment network (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, NACHA, SEPA, BACS and alternative forms of payment) policies, rules and regulations, bulletins, assessment for potential violations and their associated impacts, translating them into understandable requirements.Discuss the compliance requirements which arise from networks, schemes, third-parties, including advising on any changes to our policies, procedures and controls to existing/new products while supporting their implementation.Lead the compliance requirements for any new payment integration (payment method, network, processor etc.) and partnering with product teams to ensure a compliant product is delivered.Build monitors and early warning alerts for Network and Partner violations (prohibited and restricted items, CB & fraud, data integrity, sanctions)Collaborating closely with key internal (e.g. Legal, Risk, Product etc.) and external (e.g. schemes, vendors, partners etc.) collaborators to enable product categories and address other initiatives as needed to adhere global and regional requirements.Lead historic developments while standardizing files, processes, and policies.Define core metrics and set goals on preventing violations, business impacts and other key performance indicators that align with business.Coordinate/organize/support working sessions, and weekly/monthly meetings, with strategic partners to share insights into current performance and align on upcoming opportunities.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering5+ years’ experience with an ecommerce merchant/marketplace specifically in Risk/Payments areas.Open to a Hybrid Work Model out of our San Jose Office (3+ Days/Week onsite).Deep knowledge of payment flows and money movement across credit card, alternate payments, bank transfers etc. is required.Experience in data analysis with high proficiency in SQL, Python; knowledge of Hadoop, analysis using Excel/Google sheets and visualization tools like Tableau etc. is required.Strong communication, policy creation and policy management required.Being a self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.Outstanding written, verbal, analytical, problem-solving, visualization and presentation skills.Excellent relationship building skills and good story-telling skills required to effectively communicate the wants/needs across various teams.Benefits:Benefits are a crucial part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
