Summary Posted: Jan 19, 2024 Role Number: 200536100 The Core Networking team at Apple is looking for a talented and energetic full stack data engineer with software engineering experience. This engineer will be responsible for both on-device advanced telemetry related to networking features but also the development of visually-compelling dashboard content to display telemetry, and to interpret and report on telemetry and trends. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Ability to design key metrics and implement them in system-level components Ability using industry-standard data-visualization software to implement a telemetry dashboard. Software development skills in one or more general purpose programming languages: C, C++, Objective C, Swift Enthusiasm and interest in keeping up with latest trends/research in Data Engineering Excellent collaboration, communications, and interpersonal skills Description Description The candidate needs to be able to work in a fast paced environment, operate gracefully under stress, handle multiple assignments in parallel, and be self-driven to be effective in an environment with little overhead. The candidate also needs to show initiative, be able to take ownership of a problem area, and demonstrate an ability to understand the role of the group’s technology in the larger context of the product and network environment. The position has cross-functional aspects and the candidate will need to show excellent interpersonal and communication skills as the candidate will be working closely with several teams on enhancing our telemetry collection and reporting. Finally, the candidate must be able to communicate data insights to senior management by distilling complex analysis and concepts into concise business-focused takeaways Education & Experience Education & Experience BS in Computer Science or equivalent with additional education in data engineering/analysis. Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Preferred Experience: Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP suite of protocols is a strong plus, iOS and macOS development experience Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
