College Intern – Industrial DesignerDescription -What a College Intern – Industrial Designer does at HP:Create and translate new design and experiences ideas into sketches, storyboards, prototypes, and models.Work along side with a User Experience designer/ intern in a project.Understand and experience how a HP Global Experience and Design division work.Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial design.Capabilities to design for physical hardware products and systems based on established design principles and in accordance with design research, strategy, practices, and guidelines.Ability to effectively distill research finding and data, with strong understanding and experience in implementing and creating design proposals through sketches, storyboards, models, and prototypes.Evaluating designs and making recommendations for improvements to designs and technology to improve product quality and overall industrial design.Experience with application of design theories, principles, and concepts to information technology and consumer product design.Ability to apply and effectively utilize 2-D and 3-D CAD tools and software packages for product design Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Able to commit 6-9 months duration.Sustainable impact is HP’s commitment to create positive, lasting change for the planet, its people, and our communities.
