Communications ManagerDescription -Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.Responsibilities:Develop, drive and evaluate key employee, field or channel communications strategies and programs to drive desired behavior.Understand the communications needs of various internal audiences (i.e., field, senior leaders, HR, first-level managers, all employees) crafting messages that are impactful and lead to desired outcomes.Develop, drive and evaluate executive communications strategies and programs.Develop executive speeches, including speechwriting and speaker prep, customer presentations and internal communications for executives.Independently develop and implement comprehensive employee, field, channel or executive communications strategies/roadmap, messaging frameworks and timelines spanning multiple quarters (e.g., annual exec communications strategy and plan for a global product line, sub region or large country).Serve as communications consultant and strategist for assigned business.Manage and develop agencies or contractors.Education and Experience Required:BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration.7+ years of experience in employee communications, journalism or marketing.Knowledge and Skills:Advanced writing and editing skills - very minimal peer or manager edits needed.Strong listening and interpersonal skills.Strong organization and program management skills.Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.Advanced knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools and vehicles.Proven experience managing, leading, driving and measuring virtual teams toward common goal.Fluency in local language and English.High levels of tact and diplomacy.Agency and budget management.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $102,500 to $157,850 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
