We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success. Senior Director, Product ManagementJob SummaryEquinix is undertaking a transformation to extend our suite of digital services on top of our best-in-class infrastructure, which already powers much of the cloud and the digital leaders of today.  As part of this transformation, Equinix is expanding its reach to new personas who would like to consume Digital Infrastructure services in a cloud-based consumption model.  This transformation involves integrating multiple shared services (e.g. quote-to-cash systems, identity management, user portals, etc.) into existing business processes and systems across the company.  This integration demands significant innovation, coordination, and communication across multiple stakeholder teams such as Sales, Marketing, Legal, Product and engineering, IT, etc.  We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Director of Product Management to lead our Platform Services division. This critical leadership role involves overseeing the development, enhancement, and management of our platform services offerings. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in product management, a strong background in platform services, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving innovation and excellence.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Platform Services product management team, driving innovation, strategy, roadmap, and execution of platform services initiatives aligned with business objectivesDevelop and refine platform services strategies, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and optimal performance across our platform offeringsCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, user experience (UX), sales, marketing, and other departments to align product strategies and ensure successful delivery of platform servicesDrive a customer-centric approach by understanding market needs, gathering feedback, and translating insights into actionable product enhancements and innovationsChampion a 'product mindset' for platform and shared services, conceptualizing, designing, and delivering internal services as valuable products for stakeholdersEstablish, define, and track against product goals, OKRs, KPIs, roadmap, and detailed plans ensuring alignment and coordination with stakeholders and team participantsStay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape related to platform services, integrating relevant innovations into our roadmapPrioritize and manage competing demands, make informed decisions, and manage trade-offs effectively within platform services initiatives​​Qualifications20+ years experience preferred; 15+ years of experience in designing and leading platform digital experience highly desired8+ years of hands on experience with the cloud and technology platform desired7+ years of experience in leading a large user experience design team and product management team desired​​​Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing product management teams, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering successful platform services ​Excellent negotiation skills to effectively navigate across the organization to align required resources to achieve your goalsExperienced in agile developmentGood understanding of platform digital experience architecture and technology architecture Outstanding communication and listening skillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
