Job Summary:Company: Academy Music Group Location: (Midlands) Birmingham, Leicester, Oxford, and remote workingReports to: Head of press and brand communicationsWorking hours: Full-time Role You’ll play a supportive role in the delivery of promotional services for shows, tours, clubs, and events at our Midlands and regional venues; O2 Academy Birmingham, O2 Institute Birmingham, O2 Academy Leicester, and O2 Academy Oxford.Our team The Marketing assistant - Midlands will be contributing to a dynamic team to ensure high quality output and service, where collaboration and teamwork is at the heart of everything we do.About you Suitable experience in marketing and promotions and preferably in a music, club, cultural or lifestyle position Experience using social media platforms, including ad scheduling and monitoringEnthusiasm for the role and the ability to identify and explore new marketing opportunitiesKnowledge of all relevant marketing channels, including print and street-marketingFirst-rate attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work towards deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPointWhat we need Self-motivated team player and collaborative by natureStrong sense of time managementGood communication skills and extremely organisedPositive work ethic, with a proactive, can-do attitudeAbility to work across multiple projects and to tight deadlinesDetail orientated to create engaging copy and social media contentKeen interest in the music and club industry, marketing and media platforms and advertising techniquesFlexibility to work irregular hours (weekends/evenings/public holidays)What you’ll be doing Work closely with the marketing executive - Midlands and Head of press and brand communications to deliver effective marketing campaigns for all shows, tours, clubs, and eventsCoordinate and monitor marketing activity across all relevant channels in a timely manner Deliver diligently on specific day-to-day promotional activities with the Senior marketing executive - MidlandsMaintain local marketing contacts in Birmingham, Leicester, and Oxford Review sales performances and ticketing updates to adapt regional marketing plans Generate daily/weekly/monthly reporting as required Work with the with the marketing executive – Midlands to review print distribution, including poster runs, flyering and other print marketing initiatives Liaise with a variety of head office functions including marketing, digital, social and PR Support broader campaign strategies as required Contribute to best-practice operations and processes Fulfil other duties as requested by the Head of PR and brand communicationsEqual opportunitiesWe are passionate and committed to our people and go beyond the standard rhetoric of diversity and inclusion.
