This is a hybrid position reporting to the Sunnyvale Office 3 days a week. This candidate will act as a leader throughout the Renewals Team and retain relationship cross functionally between Renewal Compliance, Order Management, Customer Success, Sales, Operations, and others. The successful applicant will have sound sales and leadership experience, and excellent business acumen blended with strong interpersonal and presentational skills.Your day-to-day This is a Hybrid position reporting to the Sunnyvale Office 3 days a weekSupports team manager and assists with management duties when manager is absent or out of officeParticipates in the hiring process and development of new Renewal Account ManagersIdentifies and creates strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goalsWorks in partnership with other departments on identifying trending areas of improvement for the renewal teamCreates and implements training materials, documentation, and resources to support the organizationMaintains a direct overview of department KPI’s and accountability metricsProvides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checksSpends time teaching, training, coaching members of the renewal team to increase individual performanceCreates and executes both strategic and tactical plans to maintain a high renewal rateEstablishes and maintains key internal & external relationships, and develops and implements strategies for renewing the company’s customer baseServes as subject matter expert on Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplaceManages an assigned territory of accounts with the responsibility of achieving an individual renewal quotaDrives the qualification, quoting, and Salesforce processes with the Account Team to bring renewals to a close in a high-volume capacityWhat you bring to the team4+ years of renewals experience2+ years preferred successfully leading high performing teams or similar roleExceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to conduct sales presentations and interact effectively with internal and external customers at all levelsAbility to work effectively with key customer decision-makersMust be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environmentMust be extremely organized, detail and process orientedAbility to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issuesPrior experience selling/renewing Security or Enterprise SaaS solutions preferredStrong knowledge of new and current technologies and trends specifically in the security industryBe able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint’s valueShowcase strong business acumen with the ability to create a business plan, build a strong business pipeline, and accurately forecastExperience managing into the Fortune 100Ability to coordinate Proofpoint resources to execute a complex sales strategyWhy ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
