Your potential is waiting; why are you?Job Title: Income Tax AnalystLocation: Manila, PhilippinesRole Summary: Genesys is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Income Tax Analyst to join our growing Global Tax Team. Responsibilities will encompass tax compliance, tax reporting, and audit support activities for income taxes.On top of building strong technical and soft skills, you can expect great exposure to leaders across the business. This role will be based in our Manila, Philippines office, and have the flexibility to work in-office, virtually, or a hybrid of the two. This role will provide support to a U.S. based tax department.Job Responsibilities: In this role the primary responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): Support the Company’s global income tax compliance:Prepare and file federal, state, international, and local income tax returns.Calculate and file quarterly income tax estimates and year-end extensions while ensuring payments by due dates.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and treasury to gather data needed to support income tax calculations.Assist in coordination with local teams regarding statutory financials and local income tax returns of foreign subsidiaries worldwide.Provide tax technical support to properly calculate the impact of U.S. international tax concepts, including GILTI, FDII, 163(j) and BEAT.Prepare Form 1118, income sourcing and foreign tax credit calculations.Prepare Forms 5471, 5472, 8858 and relevant statements and disclosures.Maintain and monitor the global tax filing calendar to ensure timely reporting and payments.Identify areas to enhance and automate the direct tax compliance process.Review and assist with inquiries from tax authorities in connection to notices and examination, contact tax authorities when necessary to resolve in a timely manner.Work closely with various business partners to resolve tax related matters and provide guidance as needed.Keep abreast of tax law changes and perform technical research and analysis to apply tax laws to support tax positions related to the Company’s business transactions.Assist with preparation of the quarterly global income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including analyzing tax reserves, deferred tax assets and liabilities, global income taxes payable and required footnotes and disclosures.Assist with quarter-end financial reporting close process, including the reconciliation of tax accounts.Analyze current tax exposures in major tax jurisdictions, measure risks and propose necessary changes.Support ongoing tax planning and special projects, including tax research, analysis, and modeling/forecasting potential tax impacts.Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or similar field. Master’s Degree a plus.2-5 years of direct and indirect tax related work experience with multinational companies, preferred.Self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment with a high level of integrity, while managing multiple priorities, working cross-functionally, and meeting tight filing deadlines in a timely and effective manner.Must be willing to work periodically outside of the normal workday hours to meet deadlines.Experience in the preparation of international tax aspects of post-TCJA U.S. federal tax compliance, including Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, calculation of CFC's earnings and profits, Subpart F inclusions, and foreign tax credits, preferred.Experience in accounting for income taxes under ASC 740, preferred.Experience with OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision is a plus.Experience with Vertex, Workday, or Blackline is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.Demonstrates problem resolution skills to manage and reconcile large volumes of transactional data to report internally and externally.Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy.Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and work closely and proactively within the Global Tax Team, as well as with global cross-functional teams.If a Genesys employee referred you, please use the link they sent you to apply.About Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
