We are looking for a Software Developer to join our team in Jerusalem. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Exlibris Research and Discovery Solutions. The team consists of 6 people and is reporting to the Development Manager. We have a great skill set in Java and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in Object-Oriented development with Java.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Qualified candidates must have:• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.• 2+ years of experience in similar roles.• 2+ years of experience with multiple programming languages.• 2+ years of Object-Oriented development with Java.• 2+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL• 2+ years of experience with relational databases – required.• 2+ years of experience in automated testing (design, implementation, and execution)It would be great if you also had . . . • Master’s degree in computer science or related field.• Knowledge and experience with databases (i.e. Cassandra), search engines (Solr), REST, Spring, Hibernate, and Tomcat technologies.• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.• Experience with Load Balancers, Networking/IP, Storage.• Experience with scripting (Python/Bash) Regex and automation. What will you be doing in this role? The Developer’s job includes understanding the requirements defined by the business analysts, designing and implementing a technical solution, and facilitating testing and rollout of the feature. The work includes bug fixes, performance, stability, and long-term maintenance tasks, communicating with other teams, product owners, and our support analysts. You should be comfortable working in a self-organizing team that works from remote positions and be a part of a global team – which requires flexibility in hours to accommodate the working time zones of other team members.The product you will be developing.
