Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Experience and/or education must include: Probability and Statistics for Engineers Intro to Manufacturing Systems Industrial Engineering Design Design in Manufacturing Firm Design of Experiments and Regression Analysis Description Description APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Investigate, develop, implement quality metrics for enabling mass production of hardware products at Apple, with emphasis on glass and ceramic materials. Review all quality plans, metrology, process controls regarding chemical strengthening, polishing, coatings, and reliability. Analyze development build data including dimensional/functional requirements and assess readiness for new product launch. Set up cosmetic standards of user facing surfaces and establish inspection criteria through supply chain. Evaluate yield objectives and align on year over year targets to reach Apple carbon neutral supply chain goals. Drive root cause investigations relating to manufacturing defects and provide corrective action initiatives. Bring up automated inspection tools through machine learning to improve defect detection. Establish factory flow and traceability requirements for lean manufacturing and real time data analysis. International Travel Required 25%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $148,200 - $223,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
