This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. Calix is looking for a Summer intern to join our Center of Excellence (COE). In this role, you will be part of a unique and award-winning internship program within the company. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on-the-job learning.The Solution Architecture team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst Intern to join our team. You will play an exciting role in improving business processes in areas of Marketing, Sales, Customer Operations, Renewals, Services, and Supply Chain Management. You will support the entire architecture development process from inception to completion. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days.Responsibilities and Duties:Support data quality and cleanup efforts by analyzing and rectifying discrepancies in various data sets.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements.Assist in the development and maintenance of detailed system documentation.Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements.Conduct data analysis to provide insight and support decision making processes.Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure system functionality.Monitor and communicate the progress of work using Jira.Collaborate with pertinent teams to facilitate the resolution of production issues.Qualifications:Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field with a current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higherStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to work with process documentation tools such as MS Visio, Draw.io and Lucid Chart are very helpfulAbility to understand and write SQL (Structured Query Language)Academic or working knowledge of Agile principles and project management methodologiesAble to work both independently and as an integral member of a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentAbility to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).Preference will be given to applicants who are currently in their Junior or Senior year of college.Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States.
