Job Requisition ID #23WD74454Position Overview Autodesk Research is looking for an intern to work on digital innovation in the design & manufacturing industries. We are seeking an enthusiastic and accomplished intern to join our team. You will be involved in the implementation of digital twin solutions for product design and manufacturing.This internship is based in the Autodesk London office to work with software engineers, scientists, manufacturing experts, and designers to advance product lifecycle development, allowing for a seamless and integrated approach from conceptual design to product operation. This internship will report to Senior Research Scientist, and have the intern working with members of the technology center and research organization. This position can be remote or hybrid.Responsibilities:Conduct and apply research that merges sensor data with computational models to construct accurate digital twins for real-world applications, employing statistical analysis, numerical optimization, and computational mechanics.Develop and validate either a differentiable dynamics model of a rigid body or reduced order model of an elastodynamic structure.Implement prototypes to test and demonstrate the ideas and methods.Work with both open-source libraries and in-house libraries to develop the prototypes.Write documentation of the work, either as academic publication or internal white paper.Demonstrate technology to internal and external collaborators and facilitate the transfer of technologies to other groups within Autodesk.Minimum Qualification:You are pursuing an advanced degree (Master's or above) in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.You are proficient in computational mechanics, statistical analysis and numerical optimization, with a preference for experience in physics-constrained optimization.You are proficient in Python, including scientific libraries like Numpy and Scipy; familiarity with JAX is advantageous.You are someone with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.You enjoy managing complex projects.#LI-HY1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
