Job Requisition ID #23WD73309Position OverviewAs an engineer on the Access Controls Team, your mission will be to design, build, and maintain highly scalable cloud services that control access to our product. You will collaborate on a team of excellent engineers to accomplish this mission. We are part of a group (The Mission Control team) that owns the tier 1 core APIs the all ACS products depend on. Projects, users, accounts, rp;es entitlements, and more are our most critical data sets at ACS. We have some of the largest reach and impact in the organization. The Admin team is primary responsible for building and maintaining Roles and other permission-controlling services.At Autodesk Construction Solutions, we solve real problems. Construction productivity has lagged the rest of labor industries for decades. The technological advances we've made had not translated into more efficiency in construction.We build the Autodesk Construction Cloud. The opportunity to reduce financial and time cost in construction projects would have a massive impact on making construction more accessible and successful.ResponsibilitiesResearch, conceive, design and develop backend components and tools to extend, improve, stabilize and scale the MC team's APIsCollaborate with a variety of teams in ACSCreate tools and frameworks to make developing, testing, publishing, communicating and EOLing Mission Control APIs as easy as possible for our feature teamsTake an active role in code reviews & pull requests, get your own code reviewed by the team and become a better developer overallMinimum QualificationsBS or MS in a technical field, or significant equivalent experience5+ years of backend and distributed systems engineering experience3+ years developing backend solutions using Node.jsExpertise with SQL/Postgres DBStrong ability to design scalable, available, resilient and cost-effective applications in the cloud (preferably AWS). For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $109,400 and $188,760. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
