This role will oversee the processes, leading change control meetings and managing the health, accuracy, and completeness of the CMDB. In addition, they will be responsible for continuous improvement, maintaining accurate and controlled documentation. They will work closely across the Enterprise IT function to identify, classify, load and manage IT assets and Configuration Items. Responsibilities:Serve as a core member of the IT Service Management team. Develop and implement configuration management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and accuracy in managing configuration items (CI).Collect, consolidate, and analyze service metrics to facilitate decision making related to data model improvements.Work with stakeholders to identify and translate business needs into CMDB requirements.Oversee the CMDB while ensuring data accuracy, integrity and completeness.Improve our processes as it pertains to the design and organization of our CMDB data by utilizing the ServiceNow’s Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Discovery and Service Mapping.Work with ServiceNow Platform team to load and integrate CMDB data into appropriate ITSM processes.Assist CI owners in managing and updating the CMDB along with supporting the CI owners for audit activities.Owns, maintains, and governs the IT change process for Infrastructure, facilitating weekly change management “Change Advisory Board” (CAB) meetings for the IT Infrastructure group.Execute regular internal audits and ensure data verification activities are completed by CI owners on a regular basis.Assist with business audits as it pertains to IT configuration management reporting.All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.Requirements:At least 5 years working within IT Service Management.At least 3 years experience in Configuration Management processes.Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and applications.Experience with ServiceNow CMDB in one or more in the following areas:Common Service Data ModelDiscoveryService MappingPatternsData ManagerExperience managing infrastructure change using ServiceNow.Possesses a good working knowledge of the ServiceNow Change and Configuration Management Modules.Ability to multitask and manage time effectively amongst multiple priorities.Experience using enterprise tools such as Visio or Lucid Chart, Teams, Confluence and Jira.Experience with writing and reading SQL queries for data reporting needs and analysis (preferred).Experience working in a regulated environment within a global company (preferred).Exceptional knowledge of ITIL processes or ServiceNow Administration/CMDB Certifications (preferred).All listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.Education:Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.Illumina believes that everyone has the ability to make an impact, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to providing employment opportunity regardless of sex, race, creed, color, gender, religion, marital status, domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, pregnancy, military or veteran status, citizenship status, and genetic information.
