Write installation scripts and programs for installation of products. Works with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and then initiates the build and packaging process. Compile and assemble software from source code. Ensure tools are stored in source control. Support developers for software package registry and delivery. Works with others to complete analysis, evaluation, and design alternatives and to implement process improvements. Work with development engineers to correct build errors.We are looking for a proactive and highly self-motivated individual that is as excited to go looking for new problems to solve as they are to solve them. In an intermediate role, you will be responsible for executing development tasks individually and in partnership with other engineers through larger projects. RESPONSIBILITIES:· Help to provision and monitor our various build, package, and deploy engineering infrastructures. · Provides systems engineering support to the Development Teams and promote the DevOps values and principles within all supported groups · Develops automation and tooling to streamline deployment and operations procedures · Provides tool expertise and more importantly the support for the various software development agile release tools. For example, Jenkins/Teamcity for release management, Puppet/Chef for configuration management, Docker/AWS for containerization, and management of virtualization environments · Provides systems engineering support for QA teams near-production test environments including online, live, demo environment for Sales/Marketing · Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to · Be a highly collaborative and proactive communicator Additional Job DescriptionHELPFUL EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 2+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.3 years of Linux/Unix Administration experienceProven, working experience and knowledge in various Build/Package/Deploy solutions using CI tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar Experience administering SCM systems like Git or SVN along with repository services like Github or BitBucket for an Agile development methodology Experience working with Docker containers Experience working with Gitlab Pipelines and Runners Working experience with cloud solutions like Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS Cloud is considered a must, other similar solution experience will be considered like OpenStack. A solid understanding of scripting languages (For example, Linux/Windows Shell, Python, and Javascript). Also need to be able to code to RESTful APIs Proven ability to support and manage SQL and NoSQL databases for the engineering environments Experience with IT networking is valuable 3 years working in a DevOps environment; 3+ years in an Agile/Lean development environment as well.
