Junior DevOps EngineerDescription -Responsible for deployment through all Software Development lifecycle stages across distributed systems with a goal of using industry standards and continuous improvements in release processes to ensure scalability and consistency. Conversant with all the technical as well as Cloud operations and infrastructure aspects for integrated operations and capable in the utilization of various automation tools which may be required for process automation and testing. Creates real-time monitoring, alerting, response and fault analysis to achieve HP's solution and business performance requirement and ensures deployments meet needed security and compliance requirements through the entirety of the product lifecycle.Responsibilities:Observe DevOps principles by more senior engineers on the team.Learns to develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.Assists in deploying automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions.Learns the organization's continuous integration and delivery process.Knowledge & Skills:Some knowledge of configuration management tools.Some understanding of the system of administration in virtual environments.Familiarity with continuous integration tools.Scope & Impact:Supports software leadership.Works with supervision of more experienced team members.Impact may be mitigated by more senior engineers overseeing this work.Complexity:Low: Limited cross-functional/cross-organizational interaction.Applies basic foundation of a function's principles, theories, and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Uses professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience.Practical knowledge of applications within the business environment. Acts as a team member by providing information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence.
