The Human Rights team sits within Sustainable Impact and Compliance (SI&C) and is responsible for championing human rights across HP’s value chain. We are seeking a motivated, highly-skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Rights and Disclosure Specialist. This role is dedicated to communicating our commitment to social responsibility, ethical practices, and human rights within our organization and throughout our supply chain. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and comprehensive disclosure of our corporate activities related to human rights, both in mandatory regulatory filings and voluntary reports. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate complex information transparently. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of human rights frameworks, new and evolving regulations, sustainable business practices, and benchmarking and competitive analysis.This role will report to the Human Rights, Stakeholder Engagement and Social Impact Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Stay abreast of global regulatory frameworks related to business and human rights disclosure, ensuring compliance with mandatory reporting requirements.Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to gather, analyze, and accurately report relevant information in accordance with applicable laws and standards.Lead the development and implementation of strategies for voluntary corporate disclosures on human rights initiatives and performance. Identify areas for continuous improvement of our disclosures and authentically representing HP’s human rights program.Work closely with cross-functional teams to compile, verify, and communicate relevant information for inclusion in voluntary reports.Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of changes in business and human rights regulations and standards globally.Provide guidance to internal teams on ensuring ongoing compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, NGOs, and industry groups, to understand their expectations and incorporate feedback into disclosure practices.Conduct thorough benchmarking exercises to understand industry standards and emerging trends in business and human rights disclosures.Analyze raters and rankers methodologies to enhance our positioning in external assessments.Develop and deliver training programs to educate internal stakeholders on human rights best practices, disclosure requirements, and the importance of transparency.Foster a culture of awareness and responsibility regarding human rights issues.Implement and maintain internal reporting systems to facilitate efficient and accurate human rights disclosures.Regularly review and enhance disclosure processes in response to changes in regulatory requirements, industry standards, and stakeholder expectations.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience RequiredBachelor's degree in Human Rights, Law, Sustainability, or a related field. Must have knowledge of business and human rights, including normative frameworks and new regulations.Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB) and experience in business and human rights, with a focus on disclosure and reporting.In-depth knowledge of international human rights frameworks, regulatory requirements, and reporting standards.Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct benchmarking, competitive analysis, and interpret complex data.Experience in working with raters and rankers, understanding their methodologies and optimizing performance.Knowledge and Skills RequiredStrong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; effective from individual contributor to executive level.
