Finance Technology InternDescription -Recruiting rising juniors only (candidate must graduate between December 2025 and December 2026). Finance Technology Organization, Record to Report, General Accounting Design team has the mandate to simplify, standardize, rationalize, automate and re-engineer HP's accounting processes to achieve new heights in effectiveness and efficiency in the areas of Fixed Assets, Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations.  We are driven to bring these processes to be best in class by automating and streamlining using Cadency tool and SAP S4 HANA platform. This design team is made of professionals around the world.   HP Account Reconciliation process is already best in class and is 72% automated of the twenty thousand recons per month, made from two million child accounts.  We have eliminated significant amount of manual work.  Audits findings of account reconciliations only show 1% failure rate due to our team’s training efforts, continuous communication to stakeholders, and excellent management support. Our goal is to get to 80% automation and leverage all the new opportunities with new digital technologies.   HP makes 20,000 manual journal entries a year, currently 20% of them are automated.  We have lots of opportunities to improve this space, streamline the activities and automate more.  HP has 2.4 million fixed assets.  In this space, we are working to automate the capitalization of new assets which we should be able reach 75% automation as we work with the Ariba tool to finish this project.   As a summary there are lots of opportunities to make a difference in this team.  As an intern, you will work with this amazing team to learn how these processes work and contribute to make them better. You’ll learn the Cadency Suite of Tools to help our customers.
