This member of the revenue accounting team will be responsible for the company’s revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606. This position will work heavily in NetSuite as well as maintaining/review complex manual workbooks to ensure management’s assertions are adequately documented and supported for compliance as a publicly traded company. This role will be responsible for technical revenue documentation for new processes, accounting implications for new product offerings as well as detail reviews of invoices and contracts. This member will assist in scalable, continuous process improvement and documentation enhancement under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Responsibilities:Interpret revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, project invoicing, journal entry preparation and general accounting rulesApply complex ASC 606 principles to evolving product offerings as well as providing supporting documentation for ASC 606 accounting policy elections and policiesDocument company accounting policies as it relates to US GAAP as well as whitepapers for complex transactionsIndependently Analyze and report financial information for assigned projects using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standardsDetail review and analyze documentation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations in a SOX environmentPerform SSP Studies as well as contract analysis under ASC 606Ability to contextualize the implications of ASC 606 on customer contracts for various stakeholders Prepare and contextualize analytics for various stakeholders (executive management, auditors, etc.)Work with the legal and sales teams to answer accounting and invoicing related questions that may come up during the sales cycleProvide guidance for junior team members on an ad hoc basis.
