We are looking for an experienced Product Sales Manager to join our global Academia and Government team! The Product Sales Manager will work with Acquisitions, Content and Academic Liaison Librarians in UKI FE and HE institutions. This role will cover Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and reports to the Director, Product Sales EMEAYou will work with industry recognized services including ProQuest eBook Central, Rialto, and Oasis. As a member of the Books Team, you will have a dual focus on acquiring new business and managing/ developing a territory of existing key customers. If this sounds like an opportunity you are interested in, then we would love to talk to you! About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments.Bachelor’s degree in related field / or equivalent work experience.At least 5 years of experience selling into the higher education or academic sector.At least 5 years' experience in new business development, cross selling or/and up selling.It would be great if you also had . . .Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and CRM tools such as JIRA and Salesforce.Previous experience in relationship management.Academic library sector or publishing experience.What will you be doing in this role?Focusing on new business, uncovering opportunities, creating target lists, prospects, and participating in territory planning while engaging the Account Manager, Content and Workflow Strategies Consultants and Client Relationship Manager as appropriate.Qualifying top opportunities based upon key initiatives and product roadmap driven from sales leadership for the product sales team.Leveraging unique relationships with influencers and decision makers to support lead generation and sales activity.Engaging with colleagues across the Clarivate business to seek out relevant cross-product solutions.Working with regional sales director on sales forecasting and pipeline management.About the TeamThe Product Sales Manager will work with market leading products such as print books and eBook subscription as well as acquisition platforms and solutions selling into academic and government libraries.The internal stakeholders are regional sales VP, Director, Account Management Team, Collection and Workflow Consultants Renewals Team, Books Product Team, Marketing and Customer Education.The external stakeholders are librarians, library directors and consortia.This role reports to the Director Books Product Sales, EMEA who manages a team of 11.The team are a group of highly skilled and experienced sales professionals with backgrounds in content aggregation, higher education, corporate librarians, and direct publishers. The team culture is fun, collaborative, energetic, data driven, inquisitive and supportive. We are dedicated to our customers and helping them solve their collection development queries and concerns. Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, permanent position based in Ireland or UK. This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
