We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job Summary:The newly formed Australian Integrated Operations Center (IOC) will be tasked with monitoring all Australian Data Center’s infrastructure and security, maintaining the systems and solving system issues. You will coordinate and support incident response where multiple sites are impacted and communicate with customers as required.Working within a 24/7 shift pattern, the role will require an excellent written and verbal communicator and the responsibility to assess, action or escalate incidents accordingly. This will include dealing with senior Government and Defence customers and delegates, so we are seeking someone with the confidence, willingness and expertise to work with stakeholders at all levels.Key Responsibilities:System Monitoring24x7x365 monitoring of IBX security and infrastructure alarmsSupports and coordinates the Equinix AU incident triage processSupports customers and internal stakeholders as POC for the AU-Service Desk/IOCDocumentation & ProcessingEnsures timely and accurate input of access information into access control systemProcesses inbound access requests from customers, carriers, and our sitesDispatches service requests, trouble and alarm ticketsAssist monthly customer & facilities reportsParticipate and support monthly engineering and security drillsUnderstands approval process and determine timelines for orders that have been expedited or require negotiationTechnical ExpertiseBuilds familiarity with BMS systems, security access control systems, CCTV Systems and basic data center infrastructureHas working knowledge of security best practicesProblem Solving, Systems Support & MaintenanceProcesses inbound alerts from essential systems and network elementsProvides timely response to all access and CCTV related alarmsProcesses site maintenance and outage notificationsAbility to identify and resolve, or report, a detected problemEscalates trouble cases and emergencies as needed to lead and/or management personnelQuality Assurance and TrainingAssists with Operations Compliance QA and escalates trouble cases to lead and/or management as neededUndertake mandatory courses to where required and receives guidance and support from colleagues and managementQualifications, Skills and Attributes:Experience in critical facility monitoring and incident responseHolds a current security license or is able to obtain within six months of commencingHold an NV1 Security clearance or is able to obtain  (MUST be an Australian Citizen)3-4 years of relevant work experience ideally withCustomer service oriented and willingness to commit to ongoing shift workAttention to detail and the ability to learn fast and work autonomouslyBenefits of the role:Make an impact in a newly formed team within the Equinix business!Free onsite parking, staff gym, access to wide ranging company, consulting and wellness benefitsShift allowance, annual bonus, company shares as part of your salary packageJoining the Compliance Operations team that is steadily growing and becoming an even more integral part of the Australian businessEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
